December Yankee Swap and Potluck


Just a quick reminder that our special end-of-year meeting will be held December 13 at Rebecca's house in West Newton.

Members, please join us for our annual $15-or-less Yankee Swap and potluck.    We will have a show-and-tell in addition to the swap (and snacking!)

November Show and Tell

Our November meeting was so much fun!  Another post will follow with some photos and info from our "holiday projects" tutorials. 
 
To the show-and-tells....
 

Reva brought her "MixTape" quilt from a pattern by Elizabeth Hartman.
 
 
 
 
Kim was gracious enough to model her Christmas tree skirt, which features Moda "Aspen Frost" fabric and Moda's "Enchanted Village" pattern
 
 
 
Gretchen showed this Instagram swap block from a pattern by Sarah Fielke
 
 
Kathy brought this stunner showcasing blocks from Lee Heinrich's book  "Vintage Quilt Revival"
 
 
 
 
Meg showed a mini-quilt made with fabric printed with photographs from her garden, then embellished with beading, quilting and hand-shibori dyed skies.
 

 
 
 
Amy's grey and yellow quilt with baptist fan quilting , and her WIP using much-coveted Liberty fabrics 
 
 
 
 
 
- Karen shared this clever Christmas tree made with fabric, and a  runner with fused raw-edge applique motif

Ginger brought a vibrant medallion quilt made with fabric by Anna Maria Horner

The ever-prolific Judy brought three projects:  a flying geese quilt with lime binding, a "revised" class sample from the class she teaches at JP Knit&Stitch, and her "Pavement Puddles" jellyroll quilt.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Jane confessed her addictions to precuts and "Columbo," and showed us her charm pack Thanksgiving quilt and snowflake mini quilt.





 Leah showed an adorable fall mug rug and a gorgeous clutch in the "Lady Edith" colorway from the Downton Abbey collection that I was too busy admiring to get a photo -- sorry Leah!  Send me a photo and I'll update the post.






Giving Judy a run for her money -- - Kaesmene also showed three projects:  a quilt featuring Rashida Coleman Hale's "Koi" fabric line, a "Wee Wander" quilt for her daughter, and a "Minecraft" dog quilt.



Allison showed a quilt from her series of black and white quilts, featuring "big-stitch" hand quilting.


 
 
Rebecca displayed her neutral scrap quilt with appliqued ticker-tape details and this fabulous Hanukkah table runner.



Alice gives cold weather the side-eye with her  "I Hate Fall" runner and invites you to "Follow Me" with her CR code quilt.


 Zuzka shared her elaborately-quilted solids quilt.


 A first for the BMQG!  Courtney wins S&T with her handmade wedding dress!!



Kaya shared this beautiful baby quilt in unconventional colors.
