October Show and Tell!

October show and tell was spectacular as always!

Meg showed this breezy batik beach quilt with applique beach chairs.

Kim modeling her Washi dress.  She and her daughter made matching Washis!

Kim also brought this gorgeous Kaffe Fassett squares quilt.

Leah made this amazingly intricate cross-stitch project for her brother's wedding.

Allison was a pattern tester for this "Singing in the Rain" paper piece block.

Patrice's Michael Miller challenge quilt!

Patrice also brought this more traditional BOM scrappy quilt.  Girl's got range!

Angie showed this stunning one-block wonder quilt with triangular offset borders made from a vintage quilt top.

My (Alexis) Pineapple Variation quilt, third in a series of black-and-white quilts re-imagining traditional blocks.

Rebecca made this Sarah Fielke burgoyne surround quilt with hand-appliqued dots and borders. You can see how thrilled she is to be done with all that hand applique.

Rebecca also made a scrappy dresden-style Christmas tree skirt for a friend.

Alice, outgoing president and best quilt model ever, with her annual Ghastlies quilt! This one has fabulous ruffling detail.

Tina shared her intricate "Sew Together" bag, made for sashiko supplies and projects.

Karen brought this perfectly precisely pieced Quilt University batik sampler quilt.

Judy brought two examples of very different quilts made with strings, perfect for our "scrappy" theme:

And also an HST "Tree" quilt with  knot/wood grain applique detail.

Newlywed Taz showed us some of her 5" scrap blocks and how she stores her perfectly trimmed 2.5 inch scraps, Martha Stewart-style.

Gretchen brought a completed 3-year-old WIP:  this beautiful fall table runner.

Trish brought her "Hex & More Toes in the Sand" quilt, reinterpreted with a striped background detail.

Emily brought a Quilt for Boston made by Reva.

And this gorgeous scrappy courthouse steps quilt with inset mitered border strip detail, using teeny scraps.

Beautiful work, everyone!  See you in November for more inspiration!
